Roxas - Protection Stone

[As soon as Roxas chomps on the fruit, he will experience sudden disorientation, as if suddenly unfamiliar with being inside his body, perhaps not even knowing why he is there or who he is. It lasts for but a moment and then slowly fades... He will suddenly find himself in a place that seems unusually quiet and gray, as though the color were stolen but there remains just enough to suggest that things have been greatly subdued. There are also about three spots in the distance that seem to almost glow with gentle hues of color, soft and welcoming. Too bad, they seem much too far away to reach.

Within the gray is an expansive forest of every tree imaginable and dry, brittle grass that extends to mid-calf. Here and there, one might even spot some faded prints left upon the ground. The sky is equally gray, although not one cloud can be seen. But a dark mist seems to swirl around the forest, not too thick but clearly present.]

Right, the quest. [sticking his hands in his pockets and steeling himself. nonetheless, he seems jumpier than normal. rough week...]

[They sure look like hoof prints.]

Okay, that makes sense. [walking through the forest, heading in the direction of the warm light, so he's not making any real progress.]

[There seems something off about this forest... but it's hard to really figure out exactly what that is.]

[looking around, wary, even if he doesn't know of what]

[Roxas hears the Unicorn's voice but does not see it.]

"Here. . . we shall call to your. . . conviction. Remain true to it. . . and find the power that is. . . yours alone."

[nods, resolute]

[the_last]

"Come forward. . . Power will not find us in a place of. . . complacency."

[twilight_boy]

[walking toward the unicorn, after taking his hands out of his pockets]

[the_last]

[Well, the Unicorn's not there so Roxas is mostly walking further into the perfectly safe forest.]

[twilight_boy]

[the safest, following where he thinks the voice might have been coming from]

[the_last]

[As he does that, he will probably hear the thundering of a multitude of hooves and the faint sound of terrified, frantic whinnying.]

[that sounds like someone's in danger. Running toward it]

[the_last]

[Noise is all around him so... good luck with that?]

Where are you?

[the_last]

[Eventually, the sound fades to ABSOLUTE SILENCE again. Even Roxas' footsteps make no sound as he moves deeper into the forest. It also is getting increasingly darker and more difficult to see.]

[Nope!]

[Pressing on, regardless]

[the_last]

[Well, as if that isn't unsettling enough have this really loud furious neigh and this wild and desperate desire to protect that it is very apparent is not Roxas' own.

[Except that now it feels as though every feeling has been stripped from him in a vicious swipe that probably knocks him on his back. And there is a soft, unnerving laughter that sounds nothing like Fell. . .]

[sitting up into a crouch. If he had a heart, it'd be hammering against his ribcage right now] Who's there?
